A lot of focus has been given to the feud between the Wyatt Family and two former members of The Shield in Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns over the last couple of months. Now, the Wyatts are three strong and WWE has pretty much confirmed that a third person will join the Hounds of Justice. Rumors are swirling, but did WWE try to give the third member’s identity away on Monday Night Raw or was that just a swerve?
On Raw, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns had just defeated The Ascension and were about to leave the ring when the Wyatt Family appeared on the TitanTron. Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, and Braun Strowman gave a solid warning that anyone willing to join their enemies would be doomed, as WWE recapped.
Later in the night, Randy Orton and Sheamus’ feud continued with yet another match. The contest ended clean with Orton pinning Sheamus after an RKO, but after the match is when things got kind of ugly, per WrestleZone.
The Wyatt Family showed up at ringside and completely surrounded Randy Orton and the proceeded to completely decimate him.
Now, why did they do this? The Wyatts have had no issues with Randy Orton nor him with them. Was this a hint at who will partner with Reigns and Ambrose?
Actually, this was probably not a hint or a sign or anything like that.
With the warning given by the Wyatt Family earlier in the night, they probably are going to seek out and beat up superstars over the next week or two. It will be a warning to anyone that even “thinks” of joining forces with the former members of The Shield.
Also, it was revealed some time back that Randy Orton was looking to work a more relaxed schedule. This could be WWE’s way of writing him off of television for a little while and not really needing to go into a big explanation.
As for the mystery partner that Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose will have at Night of Champions?
Sure, it could be Erick Rowan as he’s teased on Twitter, but it really seems as if their partner will mark the WWE main roster debut of NXT’s Baron Corbin. No-one really could have guessed this one, but WWE made the mistake of possibly giving it away over the weekend.
That graphic appeared on WWE.com for a short period of time, but it was screenshotted quickly by watchful eyes. The whole “Randy Orton” beatdown on Raw may have been WWE’s way of trying to throw the minds of the fans further away from Baron Corbin.
Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose will have a mystery partner at Night of Champions, and it sure seems like it will be Baron Corbin. Then again, WWE could swerve everyone and have someone else face the Wyatt Family with Reigns and Ambrose, but it doesn’t seem like it will be Randy Orton.
