Josh Duggar Scandal Shadows Amy’s Wedding With ’19 Kids’: Can Cheating & Porn Addiction Make Anna Duggar Leave?

Josh Duggar remains in the news, and even Amy Duggar’s marriage to Dillon King was shadowed by the question many had: Would Anna Duggar attend, and would any 19 Kids and Counting clan members even raise the topic of Josh to the media? Ironically, amid those questions, it is Amy herself who is considered the rebel cousin of the Duggar family, reported Entertainment Tonight.

Amy’s marriage to Dillon was held in Arkansas at Horton Farms after the joyful engagement announcement in July.

“He loves the Lord, he makes me laugh uncontrollably, he’s loyal, he’s patient, he’s my best friend! Of course I said yes!! l love you so much!”

Amy is the niece of Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, the matriarch and patriarch of the 19 Kids and Counting Duggar family, reported Extra.

In addition to the heads of the family, Amy greeted Josh’s wife Anna, Jessa Duggar, and Jill, who returned from El Salvador for the occasion.

Duggars Attend Pornography Sin Sermon

But although the wedding mood was upbeat, the theme was somber at the church service that the Duggar family attended, according to Entertainment Tonight.

Pastor Jeff Crawford of Cross Church talked about pornography, to which Josh had confessed he is addicted.

“Pornography is a secret sin. I know there are some folks in here today – pornography is a deal in your life.”

In his statement that subsequently was edited, Josh admitted that he had cheated on Anna and had been hiding an addiction to looking at internet pornography.

Duggar reportedly is currently at Reformers Unanimous treatment center in Illinois and thus missed the sermon on pornography and sin.

Pastor Crawford also discussed forgiveness.

“We’re for healing. We’re for forgiveness,” he emphasized.

The Duggar family has been urging Anna to forgive Josh, said an insider. Her parents-in-law have shielded her, and Anna came and went from the church with them.

Will Anna Leave Josh Duggar After Molestation, Infidelity, And Porn Addiction Revelations?

As the Inquisitr reported, Anna and Josh have been married for seven years. They reportedly follow the same marital guidelines as Jim Bob and Michelle, which involve Anna submitting to her husband. That has resulted in her silence about his porn and cheating confessions.

“You are not allowed to get mad. It’s not godly for a woman,” said a family insider.

And despite first the revelation that he had molested five underage girls, some of them his sisters, and then the news that Josh had used Ashley Madison to cheat on his wife as well as admitting his addiction to porn, Anna will not divorce, say insiders, according to Yahoo Health.

Why would someone stay? John Mayer, PhD, a clinical psychology and author of Family Fit: Find Your Balance in Life, revealed that when a partner cheats, the majority does remain in that relationship. Among the key reasons are religion, the security of their lifestyle including financial issues, interdependence, and the culture of the family.

But Mayer also noted that emotional concerns such as low self-esteem can result in the decision to remain.

“The victims of cheating suffer self-esteem and identity crises as a result,” added the clinical psychologist.
