Leah Messer On Facebook: ‘We Are All A Little Broken’

Leah Messer may not have had the best season of Teen Mom 2, but according to her social media feed, she’s staying positive. During the currently airing installment of the MTV reality show, Leah Messer was seen fighting for custody of her 5-year-old twins, Ali and Aleeah, getting a divorce from Jeremy Calvert, and being faced with allegations of drug use from her ex-husband, Corey Simms. Still, Leah Messer appears to want her fans to know that while she may have been kicked down, she’s determined to get back up.

On September 3, Leah Messer shared a meme on Facebook, along with the caption, “Love this.”

“We are all a little broken. But the last time I checked, broken crayons still color the same.”

In addition to the heartache of her divorce from her second husband, Calvert, the father of her 2-year-old daughter, Adalynn, Leah Messer has been making headlines left and right for her alleged addiction to prescription medication, which she has repeatedly denied.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, however, Leah Messer did tell her mother she felt as though she was becoming dependent on pain medication during a recent episode of Teen Mom 2. In a clip shared by People Magazine, Leah Messer was seen leaving her three children to head to treatment for her issues.

“I have to leave my babies for a month, and I haven’t cried yet. I know I have to do this for them. I know I do, because the person I used to be, the happy person I used to be, is fading away,” Leah Messer told Dawn Spears.

According to Leah Messer, she was prescribed pain medication years ago, following the birth of her daughter Adalynn. In prior episodes of the show, Messer also admitted to taking medication for her intense headaches, although it is unclear whether or not she was referring to the same medication she was taking for pain in her back.

“When I was hurting so bad, I’d take the medication, because I could get up and go. I could take care of my kids. My back wasn’t hurting. I told you guys, ‘I’ve got this medication. I feel like I’m becoming dependent. I can’t take this medication.’ I stopped taking the medication. That person I know I could be – and I will be again – is just crying for help inside me.”
