Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Schumer Kiss And Dance Barefoot On Billy Joel’s Piano [Video]

Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer are besties now, and the two showed off their new friendship by dancing barefoot atop Billy Joel’s piano during a concert last week, Us Magazine is reporting.

On Thursday, the Piano Man was at Chicago’s Wrigley Field, playing an outdoor concert to tens of thousands of fans as part of his record-breaking world tour. As Billy was rocking his 1983 hit “Uptown Girl,” Lawrence and Schumer came on stage and started dancing, along with a handful of other fans, while the audience roared in approval.

After the dance, Jennifer and Amy took off their shoes and made their way to the top of Billy’s piano, and kept on dancing. At one point, according to the Daily Mail, Jennifer playfully kissed Amy’s feet.

If you’re thinking Jennifer and Amy’s antics were just a spur-of-the-moment bit of fun, you’re about to be disappointed: according to MSN, the bit was planned, and Jennifer and Amy rehearsed their dance hours earlier inside an empty Wrigley Field.

So why did Lawrence and Schumer feel the need to do a dance to “Uptown Girl” in the first place? If you’ve seen Amy Schumer’s hit movie, Trainwreck, you’ll remember that Joel’s song features prominently in the film.

Since Trainwreck, Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer have quickly become besties. Lawrence explains that she e-mailed Schumer after seeing Trainwreck, and the two hit it off.

“I emailed her after I saw Trainwreck and said, ‘I don’t know where to get started. I guess I should just say it: I’m in love with you.’ We started emailing, and then emailing turned to texting.”

In fact, the two women hit it off so well that Lawrence got invited to Schumer’s yearly party in the Hamptons, where the two partied it up with Amy’s old high school friends. Schumer explained that to Us Magazine earlier this month.

“I was like, ‘Oh, we’re going on a boat tomorrow. You should come.’ It was kind of a hypothetical. And she was like, ‘I think I’m coming.’ And I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ [My friends are] all like nurses and teachers… and they were all like, screaming.”

Since becoming besties, Lawrence and Schumer have started working on a screenplay together, writing a movie that they both plan to star in.

“We play sisters. We’re almost done writing. It just flowed out of us. We’ve got about 100 pages right now.”

As of this post, Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer’s screenplay has no title and no release date.
