‘Teen Mom 2’ Leah Messer Took Anything She Could Get Her Hands On, According To Rumors Relayed By Corey Simms
On last night’s Teen Mom 2, Leah Messer was targeted with accusations of drug rumors. After Corey Simms and his wife, Miranda, confronted Messer about her possible drug problem, Simms brought up shocking rumors about what people were saying about the Teen Mom 2 star and her alleged drug use.
“The rumor around town she takes anything she can get her damn hands on,” Corey said angrily of the Teen Mom 2 star and mother of his 5-year-old twins, Ali and Aleeah.
According to an Us Weekly report on August 27, Messer first claimed her “intense therapy” treatment was not rehab, but eventually called it that a few times throughout the episode of Teen Mom 2.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, the Teen Mom 2 star entered treatment on Thursday night’s episode. During a clip from the show, shared by People Magazine on August 27, Messer admitted she had felt was beginning to become dependent on pain medication prescribed to her after the birth of her third child, Adalynn Faith Calvert, left her with intense back pain.
“I have to leave my babies for a month, and I haven’t cried yet. I know I have to do this for them. I know I do, because the person I used to be, the happy person I used to be, is fading away,” the Teen Mom 2 star told her mother, Dawn Spears.
Although the Teen Mom 2 star also admitted to taking prescription medication for headaches earlier this season, it is unclear if she’s still taking the pills. It’s also unclear if she was taking two different forms of pain medication, both for her back and for her headaches, or if she was taking the same thing to address both issues. Either way, the Teen Mom 2 star found herself becoming reliant on the prescription at some point in recent months.
“When I was hurting so bad, I’d take the medication, because I could get up and go. I could take care of my kids. My back wasn’t hurting. I told you guys, ‘I’ve got this medication. I feel like I’m becoming dependent. I can’t take this medication.’ I stopped taking the medication.”
In addition to Simms’ revelation of the drug abuse rumors in his town, the Teen Mom 2 star’s second husband, Jeremy Calvert, told a friend he felt Messer was dealing with an addiction issue.
