Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez may have rekindled their friendship in private, but now they made their new found friendship public. The famous best friends took the stage together for the first time in four years.
Taylor Swift, 25, invited her good friend Selena Gomez, 23, on stage during her 1989 Tour stop in Los Angeles, California. It was previously rumored that Gomez would make a surprise appearance during one of Swift’s L.A. tour stops – and it looks like that rumor came true!
According to a report, via People magazine, Taylor introduced her best friend before they performed Selena’s hit song “Good For You.”
“The person about to come out onto the stage is a multi-talented performer who’s good at pretty much everything that she does. She is beautiful and funny and sweet and talented and intelligent and one of my best friends.”
Swift and Gomez wore matching hot pants, as noted by a report via Us Weekly. Swift wore her trademark white bustier crop top and matching shorts ensemble with black over-the-knee boots. Meanwhile, Gomez sauntered out in a black studded halter with matching shorts and black over-the-knee boots. The singers’ sexy outfits were designed by Norma Kamali, while their boots were both designed by Stuart Weitzman.
To the delight of their fans, Taylor and Selena stood at the end of the stage as they laughed and hugged one another. Both of the singers took to social media to share their special moment on stage.
Gomez shared a photo of herself hugging Swift with the following caption: “After nearly 8 years of friendship, I just can’t wait to tell our kids we ACTUALLY got to perform in front of thousands of insanely beautiful people together. TWICE! I love you Tay. #bestnightEVER #whatISlife”

That’s right. This isn’t the first time that Selena and Taylor have taken the stage together. The ladies last performed together during the Speak Now World Tour in New York City in 2011. The pop stars performed Selena’s hit song “Who Says” and James Taylor’s “Fire and Rain.” The BFFs even sat down and performed Taylor’s hit song “Fifteen.”
As previously reported via the Inquisitr, Gomez wasn’t the only surprise guest of the night. Swift introduced Lisa Kudrow on stage, where they performed “Smelly Cat” from the popular sitcom, Friends. The fun didn’t stop there. Swift even brought out Justin Timberlake for an epic performance of “Mirrors.”
