‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ – Link To First AHS Season ‘Murder House’ Revealed

While each season of AHS seems to be completely different and of a stand-alone nature, it turns out that every season of the popular TV series American Horror Story is connected in some way. The upcoming AHS: Hotel is no different.

Ryan Murphy revealed to Entertainment Weekly that the latest season, American Horror Story: Hotel is connected to the very first season, and that the Murder House will be revisited in one episode of the much-awaited new season.

American Horror Story: Murder House, with Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott’s characters playing the owners of the infamous house itself, kicked off what has become one of the most popular and scary TV series.

According to Variety, Murphy said that realtor Marcy, played by Christine Estabrook, who sold the Murder House to the Harmons, will also be featured as a real estate agent for Hotel Cortez in the upcoming season.

However, while connections between the various American Horror Story seasons are of interest, it is probably Lady Gaga, who plays the mysterious Countess who owns Hotel Cortez, that is drawing the most interest from fans and the general public.

Murphy has already revealed that Lady Gaga’s character is a bisexual “wealthy social doyenne, consumed with art, fashion and people” and that in the very first episode her nefarious plan will be revealed.

While the Countess reportedly sustains herself with a diet of sex and blood, Murphy hesitates to call her (or her partners in her sex triangle) actual vampires. Of course, vampires have been so very much done already on TV and the big screen.

“I prefer the term ‘ancient blood virus.'”

“It’s not vampires. It’s really a form of hemophilia in a way. There’s no capes and fangs.”

It seems Gaga, along with her two lovers, Donovan played by Matt Bomer and Tristan played by Finn Wittrock, all carry this “ancient blood virus” which then has the effect of making its hosts crave human blood.

As all three AHS: Hotel characters are rather lacking in any form of vampiric fangs, this may explain the chain-mail glove worn by Gaga with its razor-sharp nails.

The latest and possibly goriest season of AHS premieres on FX on October 7 and will mark the first season without Jessica Lange, who played remarkable characters in the previous seasons, but decided to bow out after American Horror Story: Freak Show closed its tent flaps.

Entertainment Weekly quotes Murphy as saying that this gives a chance to do something in a season that “Jessica would not have done.”

“So it’s a different tone. But it’s still the show — make no mistake. I think it has what people want.”

Veteran AHS star Sarah Paulson, who has appeared in all previous seasons, said, “There’s something about this season that’s got real heat to it. It’s pulsating. Every season has a different tone or a color. And I think this year for sure would be blood red.”

Meanwhile fans are all on edge and holding in their baited breath, waiting to check into Hotel Cortez for the new season of American Horror Story to start on October 7.

In other American Horror Story: Hotel news on the Inquisitr, two extremely creepy new promo videos were recently revealed. One shows a terrifying-looking character with skin over his eyes, nose and mouth, hammering on a door at the already infamous Hotel Cortez.
