Donald Trump, Megyn Kelly Feud Heats Up, Moves To Social Media
Donald Trump is doubling down on his criticism — some would say hatred — of Megyn Kelly, and the Fox News host is drawing support from her colleagues and fans on social media, Fox News is reporting.
Ever since the August 6 Republican debate, during which Megyn asked Donald some hard-hitting questions — questions that Trump would later claim were unfair — Trump has been on the offensive against Megyn, at one point famously saying that she had “blood coming out of her whatever,” according to CNN.
The feud quieted down somewhat when Megyn took a vacation — a vacation that Trump suggested was unplanned, but which Megyn insists had been scheduled long before the Trump feud — but on Monday night, Trump went back on the offensive again, this time on Twitter.
I liked The Kelly File much better without @megynkelly. Perhaps she could take another eleven day unscheduled vacation!

Now it seems that Fox News CEO and Chairman Roger Ailes, Megyn Kelly’s boss, has had enough of Donald Trump’s attacks on Kelly, and has asked him to apologize.
“Donald Trump rarely apologizes, although in this case, he should. We have never been deterred by politicians or anyone else attacking us for doing our job, much less allowed ourselves to be bullied by anyone, and we’re certainly not going to start now.”
Megyn’s colleagues at Fox News have also come to her defense, via remarks posted on Twitter.

It’s been 19 days since the debate- @realDonaldTrump has made his feelings clear. But THIS needs to stop http://t.co/8BmVPZTGdp #let-it-go — Bret Baier (@BretBaier) August 25, 2015
My friend @realDonaldTrump has captured the imagination of many. Focus on Hillary, Putin, border, jobs, Iran China & leave @megynkelly alone

For his part, Trump is refusing to back down. In a statement made available via the New York Times, Trump continued to insist that Megyn Kelly is in the wrong in their ongoing feud.
“I totally disagree with the FOX statement. I do not think Megyn Kelly is a quality journalist. I think her questioning of me, despite all of the polls saying I won the debate, was very unfair. Hopefully in the future I will be proven wrong and she will be able to elevate her standards to a level of professionalism that a network such as Fox deserves.”
As of this post, Megyn Kelly has not responded to the latest round of criticism from Donald Trump.
