Henry Cavill: ‘Batman V Superman’ Star Talks Lois Lane And Wonder Woman

Henry Cavill is making the rounds talking about one of the longstanding DC universe questions: Is Lois Lane or Wonder Woman the one for Superman?

When Batman v Superman finally lands on a theater near you (hopefully), on March 25, 2016, we will see the triangle made of Superman, Lois Lane, and Wonder Woman develop once again. What is unclear is what will happen to the blossoming relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane.

In Man of Steel, the intrepid reporter, played by Amy Adams, was able to get through the obvious differences between her and Kent’s alter ego, Superman. The couple turned romantic with a lingering kiss after the brutal battle against General Zod (Michael Shannon).

For Batman v Superman, Lois Lane will have a rival, Wonder Woman, portrayed by Gal Gadot. Henry Cavill talked about how things may work out and why Wonder Woman is not afraid of Superman.

While promoting his latest film, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., in Brazil, Cavill was asked about how the two female characters will deal with the superhero. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, the British actor talked about Superman’s dilemma with the gorgeous women.

?”Strong women are nothing new for the comic book world. I’m glad they are being represented a bit more in film and on TV. Wonder Woman has been around forever, she is an incredibly strong character. She can go toe-to-toe with Superman sometimes.?”

Just like questions being raised about how Batman (Ben Affleck) can even think of defeating Superman in a face-off, Lois Lane and Wonder Woman come with their own discussion. The most obvious one is, how can an alien have an intimate relationship with a mere mortal, no matter how attractive and strong?

Henry Cavill talked about this issue during the interview, so let’s see what Superman has to say about the two ladies in his life.

“This is a very long discussion because there are a lot of questions to be asked and answered. I mean who is better for a super-powered alien, a human or a goddess? Yes, the goddess can do all the normal things, which we would think are normal in a relationship, and not have any fear of Superman. But you also need to have that baseline of humanity, which Lois provides. And literally keeps his feet on the ground, keeps him down to earth. So that’s more of a debate than an answer.”
