It’s that time of year again, when Dancing With the Stars spoilers and rumors start swirling. Season 21 begins in September, and the cast is going to be revealed a bit differently this time around, it seems. While fans were initially led to believe the full cast would be revealed on Good Morning America on September 2, it seems the plan has changed. What’s the latest?
According to the DWTS Twitter page, the show will start sharing cast reveals on Monday, but they’ll be spread out. This is a first for the show, and fans aren’t sure what to think about this strategy. Nine of the Season 21 pros were recently revealed on Good Morning America, and it’s now been made official that Len Goodman will be out of the picture for this fall season.
Viewers will learn more on Monday, with additional announcements coming throughout the week. However, there are some Dancing With the Stars spoilers and rumors already floating around. Who are fans speculating might be in the mix of Season 21?
The strongest DWTS cast rumors include Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, surfer and television correspondent Bethany Hamilton, and, as PureDWTS notes, gymnast and American Ninja Warrior star Kacy Catanzaro. As reliable Twitter user @DWTSGossip notes, there’s a lot of talk about both Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell and Olympic short track speed skater Allison Baver potentially being on the Dancing With the Stars 2015 fall cast, as well.
There had been some talk of stars like NBA player Anthony Davis, Fuller House actress Jodie Sweetin, I Am Cait star Caitlyn Jenner, Glee star Darren Criss, and perhaps Silver Spoons and NYPD Blue star Ricky Schroder hitting the dance floor. However, at this point, it seems that all of those names have been ruled out. PureDWTS teases that they got the “no” answer regarding Sweetin straight from the source, though she said she’d love to do it in the future.
There’s also been buzz that Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe would be on DWTS 21, and right now there doesn’t seem to be anything certain one way or the other on that front. Kaitlyn and Shawn Booth, her fiancé from the show, have been together essentially non-stop since their finale aired. While they’re currently in Vancouver, where Kaitlyn lives, that doesn’t rule out a shift to Los Angeles for the fall.
At this point, nine pros have been revealed, with reports varying a bit on whether there will be 12 or 13 couples dancing this fall. DWTS fans are bantering about possible partnerships, and a lot more will emerge in the coming week. It is now anticipated that the parnerships, and any remaining pro or celebrity identities, will be detailed on the September 2 episode of GMA.
Which stars do you think will be participating on Season 21 of DWTS? Which celebrities and pros will be together looking to score the mirror-ball trophy on the fall 2015 Dancing With the Stars season? Answers are coming soon, and fans can’t wait to learn more.
