Taylor Swift And Miley Cyrus: MTV VMAs Are A Week Away, And The Feud Is Heating Up

There is no love lost between Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus. The MTV VMAs (Video Music Awards) are Saturday, August 30 in Los Angeles, and according to Hollywood Life, a source close to the Swift camp feels they may be backed into a corner. The worst part is Swift will not have her beau at her side to help deflect some of the negativity that Cyrus could throw the “Bad Blood” singer’s way.

The host for this year’s VMAs is Miley Cyrus. As of late, Cyrus has gone out of her way to promote what seems to be the exact opposite image that Taylor Swift seems to be shooting for. With the microphone in Cyrus’ hand, Taylor could be in for a long night, especially if she sweeps the awards like she seems to be accustomed to doing. If the Marie Claire interview is any indication, Miley Cyrus may not be above doing just that.

In an interview for the September issue, Cyrus called out Swift’s “Bad Blood” video. She didn’t understand the difference in the sexuality that she promotes as being worse than the violence she felt Swift’s video promotes.

“I don’t get the violence revenge thing. That’s supposed to be a good example? And I’m a bad role model because I’m running around with my t**ties out? I’m not sure how t**ties are worse than guns.”

These comments have sent the Taylor Swift camp into a tizzy. They feel that Miley has now painted a big red target on Taylor, and the VMAs will give her a perfect opportunity to fire shot after shot.

“Taylor is by far her biggest target and Miley is thinking of ways to subtly diss her. She loves the controversy and is upset that Taylor hasn’t said anything about it. There is bound to be sparks between the two of them that night.”

Despite the fact that Swift’s boyfriend Calvin Harris will be in Europe performing, Swift is not going to show up to the Microsoft Theater alone. She plans to bring her own “girl squad.”

“Taylor would love to have all of her girls that did the ‘Bad Blood’ video with her. Karlie (Kloss), Gara (Delevingne), Gigi (Hadid), Selena (Gomez), all of them. And if she wins, she wants them to come up on stage with her. Taylor has more than enough awards to last a lifetime. She just wants to share the success with as many people as she can.”

We have to wait a week for the showdown between Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus. What better place for it all to go down than the MTV VMAs? Which camp do you side with? Are you for the “All-American, Girl Next Door” Taylor Swift, or do you side with the “In Your Face, Rude, Crude and Socially Unacceptable” Miley Cyrus?
