‘Spider-Man’ Joins ‘Sons Of Anarchy’s’ Charlie Hunnam And ‘Twilight’s’ Robert Pattinson In ‘The Lost City Of Z’

The upcoming film The Lost City of Z is set to add another actor to its list of high-caliber cast members. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the movie has officially added the latest Spider-Man, Tom Holland, to star alongside Charlie Hunnam, Sienna Miller, and Robert Pattinson in the upcoming jungle adventure.

Holland has appeared in a number of various roles, which include the highly successful 2012 film The Impossible. The up and coming actor is also set play Peter Parker in the next Spider-Man film. That film, which is directed by Jon Watts (Cop Car), is scheduled for a July 2017 released.

Meanwhile, Lost City of Z is based on New York Times bestselling author David Grann’s novel of the same title. The movie centers on the story of Colonel Percy Fawcett, a British explorer who mysteriously went missing after his 1920s exploration of the Amazon jungle. Fawcett disappeared and was never heard of again after attempting to find the location of the famed Lost City of Z. The events in the movie follow his journey and unexplained end.

With such an all star set of actors, including Hunnam as Colonel Fawcett, Miller as Fawcett’s wife, and Pattinson as Henry Costin, the movie is sure to be a successful one. The fact that producers have added Holland to the mix will only increase the star power in this one.

The movie is directed and written by James Gray and has already started filming in Belfast, Ireland, and will continue production through October. Other filming locations include Colombia, where most of the jungle scenes will likely take place.

Hunnam and Pattinson are already causing a stir in Belfast. The twosome have been spotted taking photos with fans and taking in the local pub culture by having a few pints.

The Lost City of Z is produced by Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, and Jeremy Kleiner with Plan B Entertainment. Additionally, Anthony Katagas and Dale Johnson are set to produce with Mad River Picture’s Marc Butan acting as executive producer with Julie B. may and Glenn Murray.

In addition to the roles already mentioned, Holland is currently working on the upcoming movie Captain America: Civil War. He is also set to make an appearance in Ron Howard’s upcoming whale adventure, In the Heart of the Sea.
