Jeremy Calvert Still Wants A Divorce After Leah Messer Announces Rehab Plans On ‘Teen Mom 2’ [Video]
Jeremy Calvert filed for divorce from Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer during Season 6, and on the upcoming episode of the MTV series, she speaks to her now-ex-husband, Jeremy Calvert, about her plans for rehab. Unfortunately, however, Jeremy Calvert is willing to change his mind about ending their three-year marriage.
“Hey, I just wanted to call you,” Messer tells Jeremy Calvert in the preview clip, shared by OK! Magazine on August 17. “I think I’m going to go away to a therapeutic treatment place… kind of like a reset button for my life.”
Throughout Season 6 of Teen Mom 2, Jeremy Calvert has been at odds with Messer over her failure to tend to her motherly and wifely duties, including keeping their car clean and safe for her three kids. Jeremy Calvert even told a friend she definitely had an “addiction issue” on last week’s episode.
“Well I’m proud of you for making that step,” Jeremy Calvert told Messer of her rehab plans. “I just want you healthy. No matter where we’re at as far as marriage, this and that, I just want you healthy.”
Prior to Messer deciding to get treatment for her issues, Jeremy Calvert announced plans for divorce. In real time, months before the show aired, Jeremy Calvert filed for divorce from Messer just one month after proclaiming on Twitter that she cheated on him with her ex-boyfriend. However, on the show, the issue was not addressed. Instead, it was Messer’s issues that stressed Jeremy Calvert out and led him to end their marriage.
After revealing her rehab plans to Jeremy Calvert on the show, Messer encouraged him to get help, as well.
“I feel like you have things to work on as well as I do. You know, I may come back a completely different person and my mindset may be completely different,” she explained.
But Jeremy Calvert wasn’t willing to do a thing, instead telling her, “Well even if you get help, Leah, I’m not changing my mind about the divorce.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jeremy Calvert’s ex-wife admitted to making “a lot of mistakes” on Facebook over the weekend. In a photo meme to her fans, a message claimed she was “not perfect,” much like Messer told her ex-husband, Corey Simms, a couple of weeks ago on Teen Mom 2.
