Kandi Burruss Surprised With Baby Shower
Kandi Burruss received a surprise baby shower on Sunday, August 17. As filming continues on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8, the pregnant reality star shared a photo of her special day, along with the following caption.
“Today our #BedroomKandi convention ended & my consultants surprised me with a baby shower! Thank you! That was a great surprise! BedroomKandi.com.”
Earlier this summer, after chronicling her fertility struggles on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi Burruss announced she and husband Todd Tucker were expecting their first child together (the couple also has one child each from previous relationships).
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kandi Burruss spoke of her baby news during an interview with People Magazine last month, telling the magazine she and Tucker were “ecstatic” to be welcoming their first child.
“We’ve been looking forward to this moment… We were just so happy.”
In addition to her social media chronicles, fans of Kandi Burruss will get to see plenty of her pregnancy with she returns to Bravo.
“We just started taping. Obviously you will get to see a lot of our journey through this pregnancy, but other than that it will be drama as usual.”
While the ladies of The Real Housewives of Atlanta have surely already endured tons of drama on the set of the reality show, Kandi Burruss’ pregnancy hasn’t been too eventful — at least not yet. Speaking to People Magazine, Kandi Burruss revealed she hadn’t yet experienced any cravings or morning sickness, but admitted to feeling “tired all of the time.”
“We would love to have a boy,” Kandi Burruss continued of her second child, and as for names, she added, “We’re taking suggestions!”
Kandi Burruss wed Tucker in a made-for-TV wedding in April of 2014. Weeks later, Kandi’s Wedding, a five-episode Bravo special, premiered to impressive ratings (each episode garnered over 2 million viewers).
In addition to Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey, Phaedra Parks, Kenya Moore, and Porsha Williams have reportedly returned to The Real Housewives of Atlanta for Season 8, as has former housewife Sheree Whitfield. Meanwhile, NeNe Leakes recently announced she had quit the show, and Claudia Jordan, who joined the series last year, was allegedly not asked to return.
No word yet on whether or not Whitfield, who was part of the original cast, will be seen in a part-time or full-time role.
