‘Undateable’ Star Miscarriage: Eva Amurri Martino Loses Baby, Shares Heartbreak

Undateable star Eva Amurri Martino suffered a miscarriage and decided to share her heartbreak with the world. According to Us Weekly, the actress was nine weeks pregnant with her second child when she miscarried. She says that she lost the baby not long after she and her husband, Kyle Martino, told their closest family and friends the news that they were going to be adding to their family.

Eva Amurri Martino chose to write a very candid post on her blog in hopes of helping other people who have gone through the same thing.

“I am sharing in the hopes that we can be a light for people going through similar circumstances, and to remind myself and others that there is no shame in voicing our heartbreaks and allowing others to comfort us,” Amurri Martino began her blog post. She details how “normal” her pregnancy was up until that doctor’s visit, and how she and Kyle had heard their baby’s heartbeat on “multiple occasions” before finding out that their baby was no longer alive.

The Undateable star’s miscarriage was detailed on her blog Happily Eva After. The post is titled “Little Angel,” and the header image shows Eva and Kyle Martino’s daughter, Marlowe, in the sand at the beach, with a wave washing away what once said “Big Sis.” The photo is unbelievably moving.

In the post, Eva Amurri Martino thanked her amazing support system, and reminded the world that miscarriages are not uncommon. And while she admits that all those statistics out there certainly do not take the pain away, it gives her a sense of comfort knowing that she is not alone. This, of course, was a big part of the reason that she decided to share the devastating news with the listening world.

“To anybody enduring similar heartache, I will tell you what I’m feeling and processing as a result of this loss: A lot of confusion, some anger, deep sadness, and also an immense amount of gratitude. I have realized in the past forty-eight hours how incredibly grateful I am for the magic that I have in my life.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Eva and Kyle left a message of gratitude on Instagram after receiving tons of support from fans following the candid blog post. Fans have been posting their thoughtful words to the couple ever since Eva wrote the post on Saturday.
