Mom Spots Cecil The Lion In The Clouds Over Cambridgeshire, England

A British woman, Heidi Webb, claims she spotted the face of the slain Cecil the lion in the clouds over Cambridgeshire, England. Webb, a 41-year-old mother and care worker, was able to snap a photo of the clouds in the sky bearing the stately face of the lion.

The photo shows a cloud formation that looks remarkably similar to a male lion with large mane, a sturdy snout, and half-open jaws.

According to the Daily Mail, Heidi Webb was relaxing after work on the bench in the garden of her home in St. Neots, Cambridgeshire, earlier in the month, watching the clouds pass overhead, when she noticed the imposing form of a male lion’s head formed by a cloud. She thought the cloud looked remarkably like Cecil the lion.

Webb reached immediately for her camera and snapped a photo of the cloud, which lingered over her home for several minutes. She showed the photo to her 10-old-son, who agreed that it looked remarkably like Cecil.

“I was just sat on my bench watching the clouds in the early evening and I just saw it forming above my tree. I thought ‘that looks like the lion’ so I showed it to my son and asked him ‘what do you think this is?’ and he said the same.

It looks exactly like Cecil and it appeared at the right time too, when everyone was talking about his death. It stayed there for a while and it was lovely. I’d rather watch the clouds than the tele to be honest.”

She uploaded the photo to Facebook, saying that it brought her joy and expressed hope that it will comfort those mourning the death of the Southwest African lion.

Many of her Facebook friends agreed that the cloud looked like Cecil and admitted that the dead lion’s face in the clouds brought them comfort.

“I think it is a lovely photograph and it seems to have given a lot of people a bit of comfort after they were upset about the killing.”

The photo is reminiscent of the memorable scene from the animated movie The Lion King, when the spirit of dead King Mufasa appeared in the clouds to his son, Simba.

Cecil the lion was shot and killed early in July, 2015, by an American big game hunter Walter Palmer of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, outside the Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. Palmer shot the lion with his bow and arrow and finished him off several hours later with his rifle, according to media reports.

He reportedly paid a guide, Theo Bronkhorst, $50,000 to hunt and shoot a lion. The slain lion’s carcass was found decapitated and skinned outside the Hwange National Park.

This is not the first time that the “spirit” of Cecil the lion has reached out from beyond the grave to comfort thousands of animal lovers mourning his violent passage.

The Inquisitr reported that a British animal medium, Karen Anderson, claimed in a post to her Facebook page on July 29 that she made contact and spoke with the spirit of the dead lion. She said the lion communicated a “profound” message to his fans worldwide.

“I just connected with Cecil the lion who was recently killed. I wanted to let him know how loved and honored he is. I was moved to tears to hear his words. His message is profound.”

According to Anderson, Cecil said, “Take heart my child, I am finer than ever, grander than before.”

“Take heart my child, I am finer than ever, grander than before as no one can take our purity, our truth or our soul. Ever.

I am here. Be strong and speak for all the others who suffer needlessly to satisfy human greed. Bring Light and Love and we will rise above this.”

Many fans of Cecil will believe that the lion’s latest appearance was meant to make absolutely sure that his previous message from beyond the grave got across.
