For months there have been rumors circulating about the status of Johnny Depp’s relationship with Vanessa Paradis. Now the Dark Shadows actor has broken his silence over his relationship with longtime partner Vanessa Paradis.
Earlier today Depp, 48, denied their relationship was all but done saying at the red carpet for the London premiere of Dark Shadows, “The rumors are not true. They are absolutely not true.”
French model Vanessa Paradis, hasn’t been seen with the actor in a year and a half and wasn’t there by Depp’s side to support him with Dark Shadows either. Whether the model is just shy remains to be seen. It hasn’t been smooth sailing for the couple over their 14-year romance. In 2007 they almost faced a grave situation when their eldest child, Lilly-Rose suffered a serious E.coli infection.
In January the model and sometimes actress went to the premiere of her film Café de Flore . At the time the model, sometimes actress/singer tried to avoid answering questions on their life together, but in an interview with Stylist magazine said, “I believe in love, and I want to believe that it lasts forever. But I’m like everyone else, you have to take things a day at a time and you can never know what comes next. All you can do is hope and love and live.”
Even though Depp has denied any trouble in their relationship he’s publicly noted how the media takes a toll on the perception of what kind of relationship him and Paradis share. “No matter what I say about this, people believe the opposite,” Depp said Wednesday. “I can’t say enough about it not being over.”
The two started their relationship in 1998 and have two children together daughter Lilly-Rose, 12, and John “Jack” Depp, 10.
