Ariana Grande, Wendy Williams Feud: Grande’s Fans Call For Cancellation Of Williams’ Show

Ariana Grande’s fans have risen to her defense after Wendy Williams made body-shaming comments against the “Problem” singer.

The 51-year-old talk show host made several controversial comments about 22-year-old Ariana Grande and her youthful appearance on her television show, The Wendy Williams Show, according to E! News.

“She’s 21. She’ll forever look 12,” Williams said of Grande as the audience laughed. “And I don’t mean that in a good way. It’s nice to look younger than you are, but when you look too young and then you’re short — she’s only like 4’11”. I don’t look at her as, like, a woman.”

Williams’ comments didn’t sit well with Grande’s fans, who made the hashtag #CancelWendyWilliams trend on Twitter on Thursday night, requesting Williams’ show, which has been on air since 2008, be pulled from the lineup. Many social media users are saying Williams is jealous of Grande, and others are calling her a hypocrite based on her past anti-bullying comments.

So far, Grande hasn’t responded to Williams’ comments. However, it doesn’t seem like she needs to after her fans rose to her defense. There may not be much left to say, as they have pretty much summed it up. Williams, who has made a name for herself by bashing celebrities, has also not commented on her past statements and has not released an apology to Grande.
