Andre Fili Injured, Will Not Fight Clay Collard – Tiago Trator Takes His Place At ‘UFC 191: Johnson Vs. Dodson 2’

UFC 191: Johnson vs. Dodson 2 is a pay-per-view that has a lot to follow. With both UFC 189: Mendes vs. McGregor and UFC 190: Rousey vs. Correia selling over a million domestically, it better have the best card ever or at least everyone on it better bring more than their “A-Game.” UFC is also doing their best to make the pay-per-view more appealing, having the likes of Frank Mir and Anthony Johnson. Not only that, they even added two women’s bouts in which one features Paige VanZant and the other features Liz Carmouche.

However, anything can happen prior to the pay-per-view that could possibly change the fight card. Kimbo Slice probably understands this more so than anyone else when Ken Shamrock had to drop out just hours before their main event fight. In this case, Andre Fili will have to drop out of his fight against Clay Collard at UFC 191: Johnson vs. Dodson 2. Tiago Trator will be taking his place.

According to MMA Junkie, UFC officials recently announced that Andre Fili sustained an injury and will be unable to participate in his fight against Clay Collard. In his place, Tiago Trator will step in with less than a month’s notice. As of now, this is the only change made to the current card for the upcoming pay-per-view, with the exception of more fights being added, as reported by 411Mania.

This is most unfortunate for Andre Fili since he probably needed a win after losing to Godofredo Pepey at UFC Fight Night: Maia vs. LaFlare in March. The situation is also similar for Clay Collard and Tiago Trator. Collard lost his last fight to Gabriel Benítez at UFC 188: Velasquez vs. Werdum while Trator lost his last fight to Mike de la Torre at UFC Fight Night: Silva vs. Mir.

UFC 191: Johnson vs. Dodson 2 will take place in the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nev., on September 5, 2015. For those who cannot attend in person, the venue will be available only through pay-per-view.
