FKA Twigs Opens Up About Relationship With Robert Pattinson, Admits She’s Never Seen ‘Twilight’
FKA Twigs may keep mum when it comes to the details of her private life, but the “Two Weeks” songstress is opening up about everything from her music to her relationship with Robert Pattinson in a new interview with the U.K.’s Sunday Times.
In her interview, FKA Twigs is quizzed about her relationship with Twilight actor Robert Pattinson, revealing that she was surprised to see how much attention their relationship garnered in such a short amount of time, Gossip Cop reports.
“I don’t understand what the levels [of fame] are. I’m a bit naïve… I don’t engage in that world, even with myself, even with my own career.”
Twigs goes on to explain that she happily considers herself a “home bod,” revealing that she makes a point to avoid celebrity hotspots with future husband Pattinson in order to remain out of the public eye.
Similarly, Twigs explains that she doesn’t believe being married would have an impact on her creativity, telling the outlet, “No, I don’t think it works like that. Don’t you get freedom with age and experience, not confines?”
Twigs relates her sentiment to the fact that she lives next door to an Italian artist who is obsessed with his art, revealing that she often observes the man being comforted by his wife in times of stress. Twigs explains that when she notices that the artist works through the issues he has with his art, he then gushes over his wife for her constant support, telling her, “I love you so much, you are the woman of my dreams.”
While Twigs has admitted in the past that she and Pattinson are very supportive of one another’s career, the songstress admits that she’s never seen Twilight despite Pattinson’s starring role as Edward Cullen.
When asked if she’s ever seen Pattinson and Stewart’s blockbuster film, Twigs flatly replies, “No.”
Twigs also raises a few eyebrows in her interview when she gets quizzed on her and Pattinson’s upcoming nuptials, asking the reporter, “Who told you I was getting married?”
Once the interviewer explains that it’s been reported for months that she and Pattinson are engaged, FKA Twigs explains, “You might read somewhere I’m a monkey and it doesn’t mean I am sure,” referring to the hateful comments made about her appearance when the news of her relationship with Pattinson emerged last year.
Twigs then concludes all comments about her relationship with Pattinson by telling the interviewer she’s “not prepared to talk about my private life. I don’t really understand the fascination.”
