Raw Footage Of Milwaukee Man Attempting To Kidnap Girl, 7, In Broad Daylight But Lets Her Go After She Puts Up A Fight
Surveillance footage captures a man of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, attempting to kidnap a seven-year-old girl in broad daylight, but he quickly releases her when she puts up a fight, according to Fox 6 News.
While a seven-year-old girl of Milwaukee, whose identity has not been released to the public, was playing outside Thursday afternoon with another child, she was approached by a male stranger who appeared to be in his 20’s. Reports say that the man tried to get the girl to walk away with him and, when she refused, he grabbed her and took off running.
However, the unidentified man’s attempt to kidnap the girl in broad daylight didn’t go as planned as the brave child put up a fight. Once she did that, he released the child and ran in the other direction, reported Mirror.
The nearly abducted child was shaken up by the ordeal but was not injured. After the incident, surveillance footage shows the girl running inside of her apartment complex to inform her mother of what took place.
Her mother, who asked to remain anonymous, told reporters that she immediately called Milwaukee police and reported the incident. Looking back at the footage of her daughter who was almost kidnapped near her home, she claims her daughter did the right by fighting back as she had been taught to do so.
“I tell her every day — ‘This is what you do if somebody comes. You better kick. You better bite. You better do something,'” the girls’ mother stated. However, she added that she was “still in shock.”
“Like, why my baby? She said he didn`t touch her in the wrong place or nothing. He just was like — she said he grabbed her, cradled her and tried to run with her. I don’t even want her outside anymore like, at all!”
“She’s doing fine. She`s still a little shook up or whatever, but she’s doing fine. She`s a survivor — that`s what she is.”
Milwaukee police officials have yet to catch the man who attempted to abduct the girl, but an investigation is underway.
