Skylar Laine Is Out: ‘American Idol’ Now Down To Four Contestants

Only four singers remain on “American Idol.” Skylar Laine, the 18-year-old Mississippi native, was voted off the show last night after singing Dusty Springfield’s “You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me,” and Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Fortunate Son.”

Laine was disappointed to be leaving the show but said that she was happy to be done with all the stress.

“I’m just relieved right now. No more stress…. I wanna go mud ridin’, that’s the first thing I’m gonna do!”

Laine said that she learned a lot from the experience and had no regrets about being on the show. Laine said:

“I went out on a good note. I don’t have any regrets from this whole experience. I’ve shown what kind of artist I want to be and what kind of album I want to make in the future, if I get the chance.”

Carrie Underwood, who appeared on “American Idol” to perform her new single “Blown Away,” told Lane that the country community had already welcomed her with open arms. Laine said:

“I heard Carrie said to someone that the country community’s already welcomed me with open arms, and that means a lot to me. Meeting her was amazing, and I’m just ready to go into country music, y’all!”

Are you said to see Skylar Laine go home? Who do you think will win “American Idol?”
