Meek Mill Denies Nicki Minaj Breakup Rumors Amid Drake Feud, Calls ‘Only’ Rapper His ‘Girlfriend’
Meek Mill may have ignited breakup rumors with girlfriend Nicki Minaj after he accused Minaj’s label mate Drake of using a ghostwriter on his new album, but it looks like the duo may not be over after all.
Meek Mill made headlines earlier this week when he dropped a diss track about Drake titled “Wanna Know,” further fueling the duo’s feud after Mill publicly accused Drake of using a ghostwriter to write raps for his album, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.
In response to Meek’s bold accusations, Drake dropped two diss tracks on Minaj’s man, “Charged Up” and “Back To Back,” in order to defend himself against Meek’s claims. The ongoing feud between the Philly rapper and Drake has led some to believe that Minaj may be ready to call it quits from her boyfriend of only a few months.
Rumors of Minaj and Mill’s breakup ran rampant over the weekend, as sources suggest that the ongoing feud between Meek Mill and Drake is causing tension in his relationship with Nicki.
Sources close to Nicki and Meek reveal that Minaj asked her new beau to personally apologize to Drake, however, it appears Drake has no interest in accepting the “I’m A Boss” rapper’s apology.
“Nicki did felt some type of way because she and Drake are pretty close even though they had a rough patch in their relationship,” a source close to Minaj revealed to Urban Islandz.
“Drizzy definitely did not accept that apology and neither does he want one. At least that it what Drizzy people are telling Nicki Minaj. He thinks that Meek is just another hater who is jealous of his success,” the source continues.
“There are some falling out because Drizzy is not even taking Nicki calls or answering his texts. Even Meek tried to reach out after that rant on Twitter but Drizzy told both of them to kick rocks.”
Despite reports seemingly confirming their breakup, Meek personally combatted the rumors during the duo’s most recent stop on their The Pinkprint Tour by referring to Minaj as his “girlfriend” while introducing her to the crowd following his musical performance, BET reports.
“I came with my girlfriend,” Meek told the audience before formally introducing Nicki Minaj, “Make some noise for Nicki Minaj. I want to give a shout out to her.”
Similarly, a source close to the couple reveals that Meek and Minaj have no plans to cancel their current tour, where Meek serves as a supporting act for the “Anaconda” rapper, noting that the duo are “still on good terms” and are committed to fulfilling the remainder of their tour obligations.
