Mega Millions Winning Numbers July 24: Will You Be The Lottery’s Next Jackpot Winner?


Hoping to win the Mega Millions jackpot on July 24? If your ticket matches all six numbers drawn tonight, you will be the lottery’s newest millionaire.

Tonight’s jackpot is down to $15 million after one lucky ticket holder won the $152 million in Tuesday night‘s drawing. According to FOX News, the winning ticket was sold at the Penn 80 in Milton, Pennsylvania. The winner has yet to come forward, and has one year to cash in the ticket.

Tonight’s winning Mega Millions numbers will be drawn at 11 p.m. ET. The numbers will be posted here shortly after the drawing, or you can watch it live on your iPhone or Android device with the free LotteryHUB app.

How much will you get if you win the $15 million jackpot tonight? If you choose to get a one-time payment, your state lottery will issue you a check for $8.9 million before taxes. Expect 25 percent to be deducted right away for federal taxes. State taxes will also be deducted from the check if you live in a state that taxes lottery winnings. Mega Millions jackpot winners can also choose a 30-year annuity and get 29 annual payments after the first check is issued. According to USA Mega, the yearly payments would be for $500,000 before federal and state taxes are deducted. For example, if you live in Arkansas, you would net approximately $340,000 per year after federal (25 percent) and state tax (seven percent).

If no one wins the Mega Millions jackpot tonight, it will increase to around $20-25 million for the next drawing on Tuesday, July 28. If the no-winners streak continues for several weeks, the jackpot will grow into a massive pot of money that will cause a ticket-buying frenzy.

The biggest Mega Millions jackpot prize in the history of the game was given away on March 30, 2012. A whopping $656 million was split between three lucky ticket holders in Kansas, Illinois, and Maryland. Nine months later, the December 17, 2013 jackpot almost broke the record, with two winners splitting a $648 million grand prize.

Mega Millions tickets are sold in 44 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday night at 11 p.m. ET. Check this list to find a lottery retailer near you.
