New ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ Images And ‘Walking Dead’ Marathon Gets Fans Excited About Premiere

With only one month left until the series premiere of AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead, fans are starting to get a glut of information about the new zombie series based in the Walking Dead universe. Along with the first full-length trailer released recently at San Diego Comic Con, there has been a load of images to get fans accustomed to the new characters. As a result of this, we have not one, but two galleries of new images to show you.

Fear The Walking Dead is set during the outbreak of the zombie apocalypse. The events in season 1 occur, roughly, during the time Rick Grimes was in his coma in season 1 of The Walking Dead. Fans will get to see how the world breaks down as the outbreak is explored as it occurs in Los Angeles.

The new set of characters revolve around a blended family. Travis (Cliff Curtis) is in a relationship with Madison (Kim Dickens). She has two teenage children, Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and Nick (Frank Dillane). Travis also has a son, Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie), to his ex-wife Liza (Elizabeth Rodriguez). During the apocalypse, fans will see Travis’s old family moving in with his new one in a effort to survive the outbreak.

New images have just been released of the core cast members. So far images of Travis, Madison, Alicia, Nick, Liza and Ofelia (Mercedes Mason) have emerged. You can view them in the gallery below. All of the characters look new and fresh even though there is some shadowing over their faces. Needless to say, by season 2 of Fear The Walking Dead, they will likely look more haggard and dirty, if the progressive images of The Walking Dead characters are anything to judge by.

The next gallery features some great new season 1 stills of Fear The Walking Dead. Fans can get a look at the core family members interacting with each other. All of them are looking concerned as the end times are apparent.

As well as these exciting new images, AMC have scheduled their usual Walking Dead marathon in the lead up to the premiere of Fear The Walking Dead on August 23. The marathon will run for the five Sundays leading up to August 23 and the first Sunday (this coming Sunday), airing July 26 at 2:30 p.m will feature all six episodes from season 1 of The Walking Dead. Each Sunday will then progress through each season.

August 23 will feature the season 5 episodes of The Walking Dead which will then lead into the Talking Dead Season 6 Preview Special at 8 p.m. This will run for one hour and, according to Moviefone, will feature “new details and interviews and cool stuff about [The Walking Dead’s] sixth season.” At 9 p.m., the season 1 premiere of Fear The Walking Dead will air.
