Threatening Military Note: Chilling Note Left On Car At Military Base Threatens Lives Of Service Members [Photo]

On Wednesday, July 21, a chilling note was left on the windshield of an unnamed military service member’s car near Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marieta, Georgia. It has been reported that the service member’s identity and the exact location where the note was found will not be disclosed for safety purposes.

According to WAGA-TV, the disturbing note was turned over to the Cobb County Police Department and has been classified as a possible terrorist threat. The threatening note has led to heightened security around the base, nearby recruitment centers, and other military-based facilities in the area.

Written in all lowercase letters, the note states that “death is to come” to the American military but offers no further details or specifications. However, investigators have also cited that the military service member’s car may have been targeted because of his license plate, which indicates he is a member of the armed forces.

It has also been reported that a replicated version of the note is being shared on Facebook.

Here is the text from the typed letter.

“dear american soldier,

death to you coward women child killer and all the american military
mohammad will show no mercy on you
attacks will come full force
death is to come to you”

The chilling note immediately raised concerns as it comes less than one week after the fatal shooting of four Marines and a sailor at a Chattanooga military recruiting office. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the five men were killed by Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez.

Although investigators are still working to determine whether or not Abdulazeez’s attack was indeed an act of terrorism, FBI Knoxville Special Agent in Charge Ed Reinhold insists that a determination cannot yet be made since the investigation is still in the early stages, reports the Blaze. However, the timing of the most recent threatening military note raises concerns.

The Cobb County Police Department is currently investigating the note, but no further details have been released.
