Taylor Swift Launches Fashion Line, Stars In Keds Ladies Campaign

Taylor Swift is not going out of style anytime soon. Fans can look like their beloved style icon and pop singer by dressing like her. Taylor is not only releasing her first fashion line in China, but also she’s appearing in her first Keds “Ladies First” campaign.

Swift is helping combat counterfeit purchases in China by launching her own branded clothing line. Swift is collaborating with the country’s largest companies, JD.com Inc. and Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. The “Bad Blood” singer is using her famous name to get China to stop producing counterfeit products that don’t have the rights to use her name.

Taylor’s clothing line is expected to launch on August 8. It will include Taylor Swift-branded $60 T-Shirts, according to Kate Liegey, chief operating officer of Heritage66. The line will also include the singer’s signature sweaters, crop tops, swing skirts, and floral dresses. Most of the clothing in Taylor’s clothing line will range from $100 to $120.

So, how will you know if you purchased an authentic Taylor Swift-branded label? Each piece will include special tags that allow customers to track the authenticity online. Unfortunately for Swift’s fans in the U.S., the clothing line is only available in China at the moment.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift is launching another Keds campaign that will cater to the ladies. The new Keds “Ladies First” campaign ad helps focus on empowerment and equality for all women. Taylor’s new campaign ad will include taglines such as “All dressed up and everywhere to go” and “There’s no such thing as an average girl.”

Ms. Swift herself features in the ads with her signature blonde bob haircut and brow-skimming bangs. She also wears a wide variety of colorful shift dresses and skirts. Swift has been the face of Keds since 2013. President Chris Lindner explained the motive behind Swift’s new ad campaign in a recent statement.

“A new generation of women has been leading an exciting cultural shift redefining the conversation about equality and female empowerment.”

“Keds was originally created in 1916 to provide ladies with accessible, fashionable footwear to allow them to be who they wanted to be, and go where they wanted to go. ‘Ladies First’ is a celebration of amazing women like Taylor Swift who are blazing new trails every day. From CEOing to BFFing, these ladies are doing it all.”

The new ad campaign doesn’t just feature Taylor herself. It also includes features from models and female entrepreneurs. What are your thoughts on Taylor Swift’s new clothing line and Keds “Ladies First” campaign? Share your thoughts below in the comments section.
