Chris Brown And Rihanna Collaborating On New Music? Breezy Reaches Out To Ex For Feature On New Album

Chris Brown and Rihanna may have gone their separate ways after calling it quits once more in 2013, but that doesn’t mean the couple can’t reunite for a new musical collaboration.

Brown previously announced that he is working on a new album that is set to release later this fall, however, he has yet to officially confirm a release date or title for the new project.

Meanwhile, sources close to Brown and Rihanna allege that Chris has reached out to Rih in the hopes of securing her as a guest feature on his new album, Urban Islandz reports.

“I think there might be a dope Rihanna and Chris Brown song coming this year. These two have collaborated before and make dope hit music so when they come together you can expect something crazy.”

Chris and Rihanna previously collaborated on Rih’s 2011 hit song, “Birthday Cake,” instantly stirring reconciliation rumors for the former couple at the time of the track’s release.

The song was reportedly a nod to Rihanna’s ongoing feud with Brown’s ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran, who has been known to throw her fair share of shade at the Barbadian beauty in the past.

In addition, Rihanna and Brown made headlines earlier this year after an unreleased collaborative track from Brown’s 2014 X album made its way online, Us Weekly reports.

The song, titled “Put It Up,” features Rihanna serenading Brown with her throaty voice as she sings, “Baby you don’t need to be scared of me / I guarantee that I’m not a mistake / I’mma give you all of my love / And I hope that you won’t misplace it.”

The source close to Brown and Rihanna also alleges that the former couple have been discussing a collaboration for quite some time, adding that Rihanna has already agreed to be featured on Brown’s upcoming album.

“This is something that they have been talking about for a while now but it was his idea original to get her on his upcoming album. She agreed that they should do another song so it’s almost a done deal.”

While Brown has remained mum regarding the details of his upcoming album, Billboard confirms that the singer’s latest single, “Liquor,” will be featured on the project.

While Brown continues to secure a hopeful collaboration with Rihanna, the Barbadian beauty continues to work diligently on her own upcoming album, reportedly titled R8.

Rihanna has been spotted hitting up a New York City recording studio over the past few weeks, but she has otherwise remained silent regarding the direction of her eighth studio album.

While fans anxiously await the arrival of Rihanna and Chris Brown’s new albums, what do you think of the possibility of Rihanna and Brown collaborating on a new track?
