Ryan Edwards Put On Blast By Maci Bookout In ‘Bulletproof’

Ryan Edwards is a hot topic in Maci Bookout’s new book, Bulletproof. Unfortunately for him, however, he isn’t painted in the best light by his Teen Mom ex-girlfriend. Although Bookout admitted Ryan Edwards was “sweet” when they first began dating, she claims things took a quick turn for the worse when she went into labor in 2009.

On July 17, Radar Online revealed a number of shocking revelations from the Teen Mom star’s new book.

“Bless his heart, but he was hungover. Like, the dying kind,” Bookout wrote of Edwards’ behavior during labor.

Bookout also said Ryan Edwards acted as if he was living a “nightmare” as she gave birth to their now-6-year-old son, Bentley, and in the months that followed, things between them only got worse. In addition to the strain in their relationship, Bookout claimed Ryan Edwards was an absentee father to their newborn.

“It seemed like Ryan always had some sort of reason not to be in the house. If he wasn’t at work, he was at the gym or at dinner with friends. By the time he made it home, he would just go right back to sleep without even spending time with Bentley.”

Around Bentley’s first birthday, Ryan Edwards and Bookout, who had become engaged months prior, called it quits, and nearly immediately, Bookout began hearing rumors of his running around with other women. As they attempted to co-parent while living separately, Ryan Edwards steered clear of his ex-girlfriend, and even when she brought their son to his parents house, he was never around.

“Ryan wasn’t appreciating the chance to spend time with him… If being a dad was anything less than a hundred percent fun, easy and convenient, Ryan didn’t seem interested. The only time he seemed to wake up and take an interest in parenting was when he felt like he had nothing better to do.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Bookout recently admitted she was a bit nervous for Ryan Edwards to read her book. Although she claimed, during an interview with The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, that he wouldn’t be surprised by any of her revelations, she feared he was expecting the worse.

According to Bookout, she and Edwards are now in a better place, and she hoped Edwards would better understand how she felt during their relationship after reading the book.
