Those new to Pretty Little Liars or only casually involved with the show may not realize just how dedicated PLL fans are, but in truth, there is an army of amateur detectives out there scouring the internet for clues that will help them unravel the mystery that lies at the core of Pretty Little Liars. As it turns out, one of those PLL theorists may have stumbled upon a mistake made by ABC Family that will ultimately reveal the entire “A” truth before the time has come for the big reveal on Pretty Little Liars.
Recent episodes of Pretty Little Liars have already cast Lesli Stone (Elizabeth McLaughlin) in a suspicious light, which in turn gained Spencer’s attention. As PLL fans have come to learn, when something raises suspicions in Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario), she really is like a dog with a bone.
As it turns out, a new discovery by a PLL fan may prove that Spencer was right to suspect Lesli. The Pretty Little Liars wikia user RedIsNewBlack discovered the clue, which may or may not have been mistakenly revealed in the June 30 Pretty Little Liars episode “She’s No Angel” description.
“Mona returns to Rosewood in a very fragile state as she must answer to the police for faking her death. Matters only get worse when she is confronted by Lesli’s sister about Lesli’s inadvertent involvement in Mona’s plot. Hanna is determined to help Mona out, not only to reassure her she is safe from Alison but also to try and repair Mona’s friendship with Lesli. Emily tries to help Sara with her troubled home life by encouraging her to explore the possibility of emancipation. Spencer, on the other hand, finds help from someone from her past.”
It wasn’t too long ago that showrunner I. Marlene King revealed that while the series does deviate from the Pretty Little Liars books in some ways, a pair of twins would in some way be involved with the mystery of Charles DiLaurentis. In light of this discovery that Lesli may have a sister, it seems possible, if not probable, that the character everyone assumed to be Lesli Stone in the most recent episode may actually have been her twin sister.
If Lesli does have a twin sister, that would seem to raise many questions for PLL fans and possibly lead to more discoveries as well. The last episode of Pretty Little Liars already confirmed that Lesli was in Radley with Mona Vanderwaal (Janel Parrish), which leads one to wonder what Lesli’s sister might have been up to throughout that period.
While ABC Family has yet to respond to the validity of this revealing clue, Tuesday night’s Pretty Little Liars episode, “No Stone Unturned,” may reveal more as the girls investigate Lesli’s past.
