MTV Star Leah Messer Re-Tweets Mother Teresa Quote: ‘Forgive Them’

MTV star Leah Messer was fairly silent on social media for months, but now that Teen Mom 2 Season 6 has premiered, she’s been more active with fans. Over the weekend, the longtime MTV star and mother of three shared a couple of tweets, one of which was a quote from Mother Teresa.

Later, the MTV star shared the Mother Teresa quote.

“People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anway. If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway. If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today maybe forgotten tomorrow. Do go anyway. Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway. For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.”

For the last several months, Messer has been accused of many things, including drug use and cheating, so her quote about forgiveness is likely in reference to those she’s claimed are lying about her — including her first husband, Corey Simms, who filed for full custody of their daughters last year, alleging the MTV star was an “unfit mother.” Messer was also required to take a drug test during their court battle, to prove she wasn’t addicted to drugs.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Teen Mom 2 executive producer Morgan J. Freeman teased of what is to come on Season 6 during an interview last week. Speaking to the Observer, Freeman told fans MTV star Messer went through a lot during the time Season 6 was being filmed.

“Leah has her plate full—she’s struggling with Jeremy and then co-parenting with Cory. When you’re watching this, you’re thinking, ‘how much can one [woman] deal with?’ What you’ll see this season is that Leah asks for help. That’s an important step for her.”

During Season 6, MTV star Messer not only went through a messy split from Jeremy Calvert, her second husband, she was also busy fighting for custody of her 5-year-old twin girls, Ali and Aleeah Simms.
