Elle Macpherson is a bikini beauty at 51. The supreme supermodel chose the most minimal amount of material possible as she summered with friends in the ocean near Italy, reported the Daily Mail.
Known as “The Body,” Elle is the mother of two and has continued her career success as she gets older and better. Macpherson chose a Melissa Odabash bikini to prove that at 51, she’s still fit and fabulous.
So what’s her secret? The WelleCo health company, which Elle co-founded, created a supplement called the Super Elixir in which Macpherson believes, reported the Huffington Post.
“I truly believe in beauty from the inside out: get your body well, functioning well on a cellular level, and that will iron out a lot of the issues that you may think can be helped with a quick fix,” said Macpherson. “I truly believe nourishment is the number one place to look, particularly for women at my age.”
When it comes to her diet, Elle is so dedicated to eating high alkaline foods that she carries a urine tester in her purse, reported People.
“I believe that most ailments come from having an acidic body,” declared Macpherson.
Elle contends that maintaining the ideal pH level in her body is good for her bones and lowers her stress. She is a believer in her own supplement, Super Elixir Alkalising Greens supplement, which she takes each day.
“I don’t worry about wrinkles,” revealed Macpherson. “I tackle internal ageing by nourishing my cells from the inside and the welcome by-product is looking and feeling good.”
In addition, Elle exercises, drinks generous amounts of water, and avoids dairy, wheat, and red meat. For fitness, Macpherson hikes and does water skiing, and she flaunts her bikini body at 51 by swimming and running on the beach.
“I move my body for at least 45 minutes every day,” said Elle. “And drink lots of water – 3 liters a day.”
But Macpherson also emphasizes the importance of mental outlook.
“I prefer to ‘think well,’ embrace life and enjoy the ebbs and flows. Find beauty in everyday things, write a list of accomplishments and laugh a lot! Humor defuses everything.”
Elle isn’t alone in advocating an alkaline diet.
As the Inquisitr reported, Kelly Ripa recently revealed that she has a go-to cleanse doctor who has put her on an alkaline food plan. Like Macpherson, Kelly’s diet avoids dairy, wheat, and red meat and requires plenty of water.
