WWE News: WWE NXT Divas Charlotte And Sasha Banks Set For ‘WWE RAW’ And ‘SmackDown’ This Week
WWE NXT has been excellent in both 2014 and 2015 so far, and one of the many reasons for this is due to NXT Divas Charlotte and Sasha Banks. Both have been part of some of the most amazing matches in NXT. Whether it’s one or both in the match, they always seem to deliver. Both have been ready for the main roster for some time now, and it looks like they will finally get their opportunity.
According to PWInsider, both Charlotte and Sasha Banks are scheduled for WWE RAW and SmackDown this week. They are set to appear on the show to help Paige in her battle against the Bella Army. It helps that WWE RAW comes to us live from The Phillips Arena in Atlanta, GA. Then on Tuesday, they are in Birmingham, AL for WWE SmackDown.
The reason this is significant is because both are not that far out of Orlando, Florida where both of them are stationed due to WWE NXT. This allows the two to work WWE RAW and SmackDown then go back to WWE NXT the same week.
Although already recorded, the two are set to battle for the WWE NXT Women’s Championship on the next episode of WWE NXT this upcoming Wednesday. It is said that NXT might need to go back to recording shows soon that will lead them into the Brooklyn NXT Takeover event near the end of August. They might end up doing this either this upcoming week or the week after.
Due to both Bayley and Becky Lynch being hurt, Sasha Banks cannot drop the NXT Women’s Title yet. The only person that makes sense right now due to the injuries is Charlotte, who is also coming up with Banks. Unless Lynch or Bayley can get back sooner, Sasha might end up pulling double duty like Kevin Owens has done for a while. It worked out quite well for Owens, and it probably will for Sasha as well.
It would be interesting if some main roster divas like the Bella Twins came down to work some NXT shows soon, to sort of bring NXT up as a show just as important as RAW or SmackDown. Only a few main roster WWE Divas have worked NXT. The Bella Twins never worked an NXT show, so one would imagine that it would be interesting to see the both of them show up at a show. Since The WWE NXT: Takeover event does take place the night before WWE SummerSlam in Brooklyn, New York, we could see some main roster vs NXT diva stuff.
For now, the only thing that is certain when it comes to the WWE Divas is a potential six-girl tag match involving Paige, Charlotte, and Sasha Banks vs Alicia Fox and The Bella Twins. Everything else is uncertain for them, as it seems WWE changes plans on a weekly basis.
