Henry Cavill Will Attend San Diego Comic-Con, Warner Bros. Announces

Henry Cavill will attend the San Diego Comic-Con later this month, Warner Bros. announced on Tuesday. The handsome British actor is part of not one, but two much anticipated films this year and next.

Even though he was at San Diego Comic-Con in 2014, Henry Cavill’s appearance then was a well-kept secret from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder. Hundreds of fans attending the convention were jumping for joy when Cavill was joined by co-stars Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot for the first time.

At that particular time, the trio was filming the Man of Steel follow-up in the Midwest and took a quick break to come and say hi to fans. This year, Henry Cavill and co. will be there as a much more straight-forward affair, and he will be a busy man.

“Keen to deliver a taste of one of next year’s most eagerly awaited pairings, director Zack Snyder and stars Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill take the main stage with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. They are joined by castmates Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Gal Gadot for a sneak peek at the 2016 action adventure that brings the Super Heroes together on the big screen for the very first time, from Warner Bros. Pictures and RatPac-Dune Entertainment.”

In addition to the hugely anticipated re-emergence of Superman / the Man of Steel, Henry Cavill visits San Diego Comic-Con as part of the spy adaptation, The Man From U.N.C.L.E.. The action film to be released in August also stars Armie Hammer, Alicia Vikander, Elizabeth Debikci, and Hugh Grant. Here is the synopsis for the Guy Ritchie flick.

“Henry Cavill stars as Napoleon Solo opposite Armie Hammer as Illya Kuryakin in director Guy Ritchie’s action adventure The Man from U.N.C.L.E., a fresh take on the hugely popular 1960s television series. Set against the backdrop of the early 1960s, at the height of the Cold War, the film centers on CIA agent Solo and KGB agent Kuryakin. Forced to put aside longstanding hostilities, the two team up on a joint mission to stop a mysterious international criminal organization, which is bent on destabilizing the fragile balance of power through the proliferation of nuclear weapons and technology.”

Whichever panel he is a part of, Henry Cavill will once again rock the San Diego Comic-Con. Who can forget when Snyder introduced the super trio on stage last year and they took that cute selfie.
