Jimmy Fallon Pokes Fun At Tiger Woods On His ‘Tonight Show’

Jimmy Fallon has joined the increasing list of comedians to earn a laugh at Tiger Woods’ expense.

Up until a few years ago, Tiger Woods was in the news for all the right reasons. Lately, however, the talented golfer’s life has swivelled down with such alarming velocity that he is constantly the subject of ridicule on late night TV shows. Jimmy Fallon became the latest comedian to take a dig at Woods on his show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, when he poked fun at the golfer’s inability to make a mark at this year’s U.S. Open.

“I want to say congrats to Jordan Spieth, who won the U.S. Open yesterday in golf. And I want to say congrats to Tiger Woods who found an old locket while he was retrieving his ball from the lake. Could be worth money, who knows?”

Jimmy Fallon was not far off the mark. Woods struggled to make the cut at the tournament, with an unimpressive 80-76 performance. In a video that was uploaded on Golf Channel, Jimmy Fallon can be seen scoffing at Woods at around the 4:30 mark.

It is not the first time Jimmy Fallon has chosen to make golf a part of his show. During last year’s tournament, PGA Tour Superlatives debuted at his show, which was then followed by a Facebreakers skit, in which Woods and Rory McIlroy took part. It could very well have been the last time Tiger Woods obliged Jimmy Fallon with an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Jimmy Fallon did not keep his jokes limited to Woods’ dismal performance, however. He made sure he mocked Jordan Spieth too, who after his final score of 5-under-par at the U.S. Open, became the third youngest player to win multiple tournaments in PGA Tour history. Ironically, Tiger Woods is one of the other two players to achieve that feat before Spieth.

“That’s right, 21-year-old Jordan Spieth won the U.S. Open. You can tell he’s young, because he’s never heard of any of the products they advertise during golf tournaments. He’s like, ‘What the hell is Levitra?'”

The worst part is, in all the fun that Jimmy Fallon and Spieth may be having after the tournament, Woods’ only concern was a knee surgery. Not his own, mind you, but his dog’s. Maybe Jimmy Fallon could have upped the joke a notch further if he had known about this, too.
