Ariana Grande joined celebrities such as Joe Jonas and Lady Gaga in celebrating the Supreme Court’s decision to make gay marriage legal nationwide. However, unlike Lady Gaga and Joe Jonas, Grande found herself to be a target of vitriol from certain gay people who think she is using the community to sell records. Some of those angry people vented their frustrations at Ariana Grande on Twitter.
E! Online tried to celebrate Ariana Grande’s 22nd birthday .
“Happy 22nd birthday, Ariana Grande! It seems like only yesterday that the ‘Break Free’ singer got her start on the Nickelodian show Victorious . That was back in 2009 and she was only 16! Since then she’s had an extremeley successful career.”
Unfortunately, the comments under the article weren’t too kind to Ms. Grande.
“Ariana Grande is a former homophobic who now pretends to be pro-gay in order to sell records. I refuse to listen to her music or buy any of her products. #shesafad,” said commenter Bruna Medina.
It’s important to note that there is absolutely no proof whatsoever that Ariana Grande has ever been homophobic, especially since she constantly talks about her gay brother. It’s also important to note that Internet trolls rarely rely on the truth.
“This little brat doesn’t deserve to have the press suck up to her she’s not even talented. if this was wishing Eva Marie Saint a happy birthday on July 4th I’d understand because she’s everything Ariana would love to be [sic],” wrote commenter Courtney Puzzo.
Despite the mean gay men who are constantly bashing Ariana Grande, there are also a lot of people wishing her well.

Ariana Grande is certainly ignoring the haters when it comes to pushing forward with her career. Popcrush recently revealed Grande’s latest surprise .
“The ‘Love Me Hard’ pop singer was only supposed to share the name of her new fragrance, ‘Ari.’ However it seems Ariana was so excited about the whole thing that she revealed the entire box.”
Popcrush notes that lavender box shows a black and white photograph of Ariana wearing a black spaghetti strap with a deep V neckline while her hair is tied in a top bun. She poses with her hands on her head and has a surprised look on her face. It could be a happy face since Grande just announced her new album Moonlight, which is set for a late 2015 release. By the end of 2015, it’s quite possible that Ariana Grande could go from superstar status to pop music icon.
