Bristol Palin Pregnant Again After Profit As Teen Pregnancy Abstinence Educator: Baby Dad War Hero Talks Confederate Flag

Bristol Palin is pregnant again. And Sarah Palin’s 24-year-old daughter, who has made significant money from campaigning as a role model for abstinence, has one big request: No lectures, reported the Washington Post.

When she revealed her first pregnancy at age 17 in 2008, Bristol was regarded as bad news for the future of her mother’s campaign to become the vice president. But since then, Palin has made that bad publicity into a profitable positive for herself by earning money in her own campaigns for abstinence.

Bristol even earned praise on Dancing with the Stars and in her reality show Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp.

When she raked in $262,500 as teen pregnancy ambassador for The Candie Foundation in 2009, Palin tried to explain her views on the reality of abstinence.

“Everyone should be abstinent or whatever but it’s not realistic at all.”

Just after ending her engagement to ex-Marine Dakota Meyer, Bristol has now announced her second pregnancy. Palin admitted that the news that she’s pregnant may disappointment many of those close to her.

“I wanted you guys to be the first to know that I am pregnant. Honestly, I’ve been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one. I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you.”

Bristol’s son Tripp is now 6, and his father is former fiance Levi Johnston. Palin did not make any reference to the father of her second child.

“Please respect Tripp’s and my privacy during this time. I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy.”

When Bristol announced her engagement to the war hero, she used social media to share her belief that it would end in marriage, as the Inquisitr reported.

“Truly the luckiest girl in the world, cannot wait to marry this man!!!!” exclaimed Bristol in her post.

Although Palin did not name the father in her pregnancy announcement, friends told Radar Online that it is her former fiance Dakota.

“The baby daddy is her ex-fiancé, Dakota Meyer,” confirmed a source.

As for The Candie Foundation, they’re supporting Bristol. Learning that Palin had announced she was pregnant again, the organization emphasized that it appreciated her work educating young people about teenage pregnancy, reported Us Weekly.

“In 2011, when she was just 19, Bristol Palin was enormously helpful to The Candie’s Foundation in our mission to educate teenagers about the devastating consequences of teen pregnancy,” said the social media post from the group. “Her courage, while still a teen herself, to admit her mistakes so publicly in an effort to help others was remarkably brave. Today, at 24, we can only offer our support to Bristol and her family and respect her request for privacy.”

No word from Dakota on whether he is indeed the man involved in Palin’s second pregnancy. However, Meyer did speak out to attack those who want the Confederate flag to exit the South Carolina state capitol, reported the Daily Mail.

“Three ISIS/ISIL attacks and people are talking about banning a flag still,” posted Meyer.

Dakota also criticized the fight over the flag on his Facebook page.

“Within the past 24 hours there have been three terrorist style attacks across the world. There has been an incident at a US company owned gas factory in Lyon, France leaving one dead and two injured. Another incident in Tunisia with 28 people lost in an assault on a west tourist, mostly British. And finally, a blast at a Shiite mosque in Kuwait. All ISIS/ISIL attacks and all overshadowed by the dog and pony show being put on here domestically by some politicians and mass media.”
