‘Bachelorette’ Kaitlyn Bristowe Talks About Sex With Nick Viall: ‘I Was Going With My Heart’

As viewers saw on Monday night’s episode of The Bachelorette, Kaitlyn Bristowe got intimate with Nick Viall. As the Inquisitr wrote in a previous article before Week 6 aired, Reality Steve tweeted that Kaitlyn will need on a “full suit of armor” following the show. It was greatly anticipated that a fair amount of “s**t-shaming” was headed her way — especially since it had already begun.

On Tuesday, People magazine published an exclusive in which Kaitlyn says she doesn’t feel that she did anything wrong by slipping under the sheets with Nick.

“That’s something I don’t think I should be ashamed of,” Kaitlyn says.

The 2015 lead of The Bachelorette says that it’s “something that would probably happen in the real world.”

Nick tweeted his support for Kaitlyn by saying she showed “courage” in admitting that they had sex on the show.

“Kaitlyn showed a lot of courage by admitting 2 having sex on national TV knowing that she will be unfairly judged by some. #TheBachelorette”

Kaitlyn tells People that she realizes due to The Bachelorette’s public platform, she’ll be judged more harshly than she’d be otherwise.

“I know so many people can relate, but it’s so easy for them to judge at the same time… It’s easier to judge than to relate to my situation!”

The 30-year-old goes onto say that she was “trying to compartmentalize relationships… [and] focus on the one I was in at that moment.”

In the end, Kaitlyn Bristowe insists she was just doing what felt right when it came to Nick Viall and the decision she made.

“I think that’s clearly all I was doing was going with my heart.”

There was more on Bristowe’s mind, however, after the night was over and she had to face the other men.

“I was thinking, ‘What if I just ruined another relationship that meant something to me?’ So that’s where I got upset, and that’s what made me cry and break my heart – thinking about if I just ruined another relationship because it was hard to juggle all those relationships and know exactly what was right and what was wrong.”

Kaitlyn has thought long and hard about her situation and doesn’t think she’d do anything differently. She wonders if she had just waited until the Fantasy Suite dates arrived and then not talked about her sexual encounters if that would have made a better difference.

According to the article, Kaitlyn is hurt that Bachelorette fans are so disapproving of her openly going to bed with a contestant before the overnight dates.

“I don’t understand why people don’t understand that process! I’m still wondering why this is such a shock to people or why it’s a big deal.”
