Ricki Lake Elopes With Fiance Christian Evans During Secret Ceremony

Ricki Lake and fiancé Christian Evans tied the knot this weekend in a secret wedding ceremony after the couple decided to elopse.

The wedding happened in southern California after Lake, 43 and Evans, 40 through everyone through a loop by avoiding the pitfalls of planning a huge wedding, namely being found out by the paparazzi and having your wedding stalked by tons of people you don’t know.

Lake told PEOPLE:

“It was a beautiful moment I will never forget,” while she adds, “I wasn’t anxious or nervous. I was really relaxed and excited.”

Lake was previously married to ex-husband Rob Sussman with whom she has two sons Milo, 15 and Owen, 10). Rob and Ricki Lake ended their marriage in 2003 and Lake tells PEOPLE that she was not sure if marriage would ever been right for her again.

“I didn’t think it would happen at this point in my life.”

After meeting Christian Evans however Lake said they just “clicked” and she felt like he was the man she was suppose to be with all along.
