‘Real Housewives’ Shannon Beador Opens Up About Reliving David’s Affair

The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 10 has given fans an inside look at Shannon Beador’s marital issues. Prior to filming, the mother of three discovered her husband, David, had an affair, and in the months since, the Real Housewives couple has been active in therapy, committed to moving past David’s infidelity.

On June 15, the Real Housewives star took to her Bravo blog, where she explained how difficult it was to relive Season 10’s latest episode.

“I must have watched this episode 10 times. I thought if I saw it enough times I would not cry. It didn’t work.”

During Monday night’s The Real Housewives of Orange County, Beador and her husband were instructed to write their own eulogies during a therapy session. While reading what Beador wrote, David broke down in tears.

“I have to say that this was the first time I really saw my husband break down over everything that happened. Incredible that it was actually filmed and I have had the opportunity to experience David’s true emotions multiple times.”

Throughout filming, the Real Housewives couple attended multiple therapy sessions, as well as a couples retreat, where they participated in exercises to rebuild trust and understand one another on a more intimate level. Although Beador was back and forth on her decision to share these moments with fans on The Real Housewives of Orange County, she and husband David ultimately decided exposing their issues may serve as a benefit for other couples, who have been through the same thing. Still, it hasn’t been easy having to relive what they went through so soon after David’s affair took place.

“It is very difficult to relive everything as we watch the show, but I am truly committed to do everything it takes to move forward. I am not going to take two years. It is my hope that someday the memories of this period evoke zero emotion from me. I absolutely forgive David because he has shown true remorse and regret.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, the Real Housewives star admitted in a recent interview with Us Weekly, via the Hollywood Gossip, that she blamed herself for her husband’s affair.

“If I had been an amazing wife, he wouldn’t have gone elsewhere.”
