Alec Baldwin’s Stalker Arrested In NYC


Alec Baldwin can rest a little bit easier on Monday now that his 40-year-old female stalker was arrested outside of his New York City apartment on Sunday night. The female, identified as Genevieve Sabourin attempted to confront Alec Baldwin three times in the past two weeks. During this most recent attempt Sabourin actually confronted Baldwin’s doorman and asked him to buzz the actor.

The doorman phoned Baldwin who was at his home in the Hamptons at the time of her visit. Baldwin immediately recognized the female’s name and told the doorman NOT to allow the female stalker into his building at which time the doorman notified police of the situation. Police quickly arrived on the scene and at 7:45 PM on Sunday night Genevieve Sabourin was arrested and charged with aggravated harassment.

This wasn’t the first time Baldwin’s stalker has turned up at his homes, she tracked him down On March 31 and showed up at his home in the Hamptons, several days later she showed up at the Lincoln Center where Alec Baldwin was attending an event.

It believed that Sabourin originally met Alec Baldwin while working on the 2002 Eddie Murphy helmed movie “The Adventures of Pluto Nash.” After that time Sabourin continued to send email and text messages to Baldwin in which she allegedly claimed she wanted to have his baby. At one point Genevieve asked the 30 Rock star if she could borrow some money.

While Baldwin at first tried to ignore the threat Alec’s rep Matthew Hiltzik reveals to TMZ:

“As you know, stalking is a serious issue, so we’ve turned this matter over to the New York Police Department.”

No statement has been issued from the alleged stalker at this time.
