Fans Will Be Able To Visit Jerry’s Apartment, Hulu To Build Replica Of ‘Seinfeld’ Set

Do you want to visit Jerry’s apartment? Fans of Seinfeld will finally be able to cross this off of their bucket list thanks to Hulu. Hulu is re-creating the iconic apartment in the West Village of Manhatten. Fans of the show will be able to visit Jerry’s apartment from June 24 to June 28, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day at 451 West 14th Street.

Jerry’s apartment will be filled with items in which fans can interact with and re-create some of the most famous scenes from Seinfeld. There are no reports of soup being available during a visit to Jerry’s apartment.

The reason that Hulu is doing this is to promote the fact that Seinfeld is now available on the streaming service. Jenny Wall, Hulu’s senior VP and head of marketing, talks about the project titled “Seinfeld: The Apartment.”

Seinfeld is one of those rare shows that continues to influence pop culture to this day, so what better way to launch its streaming debut than to celebrate the fans and give them a chance to relive the scenes from some of the most iconic moments in TV history?”

Hulu was able to acquire the streaming rights to Seinfeld for $160 million. Hulu will be also conducting a seven-day countdown of the best Seinfeld episodes starting on June 17 and ending on the day the apartment opens on June 24. June 24 will also be the day that Hulu releases all 180 episodes of Seinfeld on their website.

Seinfeld, the show about nothing, has been in the news lately regarding the death of Susan, George Costanza’s girlfriend. It was reported that Susan’s character was killed off due to the actors on set not being able to play off of her.

Seinfeld was also highlighted when Jerry Seinfeld and Julia Louis-Dreyfuss appeared on Dave Letterman’s final top 10 list. The topic of the list was “Things I’ve Always Wanted To Say To Dave.” Julia took a shot at the Seinfeld finale by saying, “thanks for letting me take part in another hugely disappointing series finale.” Jerry was not amused by her statement.

Seinfeld ran for nine seasons from 1989-1998 and was a juggernaut in the ratings for NBC. The show has received an Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series, a Golden Globe for Best TV-Series (Comedy), and is a three-time winner of the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. TV Guide also voted Seinfeld as the greatest TV show of all-time.
