Miley Cyrus Sells Toluca Lake Mansion For $6 Million, Downsizes To $5 Million Mansion Instead

Miley Cyrus has sold her family’s Toluca Lake mansion for $6 million and will be downgrading — to a $5 million pad instead.

The pop star had put her family’s mansion on the market while she moved into a new ranch in Hidden Hills. The Toluca Lake mansion, which was originally purchased by Miley’s parents Billy Ray Cyrus and Leticia Cyrus, was picked up in 2007 for just over $5.8 million. The home was later deeded over to Miley Cyrus.

Miley sold the Toluca Lake mansion this week for $6 million, and as the Los Angeles Times noted, it’s quite a catch for the new owner.

“Set behind privacy walls and hedges, not far from the Bob and Dolores Hope estate, the Tuscan-style house is accessed by a tree-lined driveway. Designed by Montecito architect Bob Easton and built in 2007, the home features such details as wrought iron work, copper rain gutters, columns, arches and courtyard entry.

“Double doors mark the entrance to the home, giving way to a 21-foot-tall entry and a circular staircase set beneath a skylight. Interiors replete with beamed ceilings, scraped wood floors and patterned wall treatments have six bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms in 8,700 square feet of space.”

Miley has already moved out the Toluca Lake mansion and into her new place. In May, she closed on a $5 million ranch estate in the San Fernando Valley, one in a very exclusive area known as Hidden Valley. The gated community was designed in the 1950s by noted architect A.E. Hanson, who was also responsible for building a number of other famous landmarks in Southern California.

As E! Online noted, Miley seemed ready to move into a new place and wasn’t spending much time at her family’s old place anyway:

“Miley’s parents, Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus, reportedly first purchased the Tuscan-inspired home back in 2007, preceding their 2013 divorce. However, it doesn’t seem the 22-year-old’s spent much time there as of late. Instead she’s been jet setting with beau Patrick Schwarzenegger, with the two most recently being spotted enjoying the January sunshine during a romantic Hawaiian vacay.”

For Miley, the new home is a bit of a throwback to her childhood. The daughter of country star Billy Ray Cyrus grew up on a 500-acre farm in Franklin, Tennessee. Her new place has some reminders of her younger days, including a chicken coop, hen house, and barn with 10 stalls.

While it was nice making a small profit on the sale of the home, Miley Cyrus doesn’t much need the $200,000 or so she got from selling the Toluca Lake mansion. The singer reportedly earned $76.5 million last year alone.
