WWE News: Roman Reigns Set To Win Money In The Bank Ladder Match Then Cash In On Dean Ambrose The Same Night

WWE loves to go back and forth on ideas. However, one idea that just isn’t going to change this time around is that WWE Superstar Roman Reigns will be the winner of the Money in the Bank ladder match this Sunday. It was rumored to be Dean Ambrose for months, but it appears that WWE has other, bigger plans for The Lunatic Fringe. He is set to take on WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins in a ladder match this Sunday for the title.

While Ambrose technically has the title in his possession, Rollins is still the “true” champion as he never really lost it….even though he lost to Ambrose. The idea being set up, it seems, is that Rollins is going to go into the PPV on his own and try to win on his own. However, he has never done this and just lost to his security team on WWE RAW. So to believe Rollins can win the WWE World Title on Sunday is like expecting a Michael Jordan to pass the ball in crunch time. Sure, it could always happen. Chances are though, it won’t.

This all seems to be a set up to change up Roman Reigns in the end however. Shocker, right?

According to Cageside Seats, the plan is for Roman Reigns to win the Money in the Bank match. The very same night, it is expected for him to cash in on the winner of the ladder match between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. Since cashing in on Rollins would apropos, that would be great. However, WWE doesn’t want Rollins to lose cred right now whereas Ambrose has lost a lot and come back from it well. So it looks as if Ambrose will be screwed over again as Reigns cashes in on him.

Does that mean Reigns is joining The Authority? Wouldn’t bet on that. However, he most likely will be turning heel. The Inquistr has reported for months that Reigns is expected to turn heel this summer. It seemed like only a matter of time.

WWE has been setting up the friendship with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns greatly the last number of weeks. It makes too much WWE sense to have them highlighted as friends only for one to betray the other.

Reigns will most likely try to defend his actions by saying that Ambrose would have done the same thing if the roles were reversed, which is probably true. He may also say that it was nothing personal. While both could be the truth in kayfabe theory, the character of Dean Ambrose has been screwed over enough. If Roman Reigns wins, he could always do like RVD or John Cena did and request a PPV to face off for the WWE World Championship. However, that won’t happen with the winner.
