Tony Awards Best And Worst Dressed, You Decide: Kendall Jenner, Vanessa Hudgens, and More

The arrivals at the Tony Awards were as colorful as ever, with celebrities looking their own versions of dashing and debonair. Apart from the most sought-after Tony Awards performances and appearances such as Vanessa Hudgens’ Gigi and Kendall Jenner’s surprise cameo, the dresses that paraded in the Tony Awards were a whole lot of fun in their own way.

Who could argue with Vanessa Hudgens’ statement look, a beautiful floral flowing gown by Naeem Khan? It was one of the best ones of the Tony Awards bunch, definitely. The halter, the flowy length, and the daring backless were all stunning, on par with her hands down theatrical performance at the Tony Awards of a song from Broadway revival, Gigi. And in contrast to Vanessa Hudgen’s fresh and floral look at the Tony Awards was Jennifer Lopez, rocking her edgy curled bob and navy and gold dress by Valentino Couture. The complementing bodice of the gown and her powerful dark lips certainly brought out the sexiness that is characteristic of JLo. And speaking of edgy, Amanda Seyfried definitely had her share of the spotlight at the Tony Awards with her short but elegant dress from designer Oscar de la Renta. Amanda Seyfried’s fair skin really stood out in contrast to her midnight dress.

Kendall Jenner puts the exclamation point in “Surprise!” as she made an unexpected appearance at the Tony Awards. Not only did she arrive at the Tony Awards looking as glamorous as ever, she also came in the arms of Calvin Klein’s creative director, Francisco Costa. Rocking a sequined peach dress from the Calvin Klein collection to the Tony Awards, Kendall Jenner definitely made a show-stopping entrance at the red carpet event.

Next to battle it out with Vanessa Hudgens’ prints at the Tony Awards was Joan Smalls, who donned a Givenchy off-the-shoulder printed gown. Even though she showed off a little bit of leg on that one, it was not the right kind of print, and she might have fallen a little flat on the Tony Awards red carpet. And just as if the Tony Awards were all about Vanessa Hudgens, the event also witnessed her reunion with High School Musical co-star Ashley Tisdale. A nice balance between couture and chic, Ashley Tisdale came down the Tony Awards red carpet in a black two-piece Solace London ensemble. Did the dress do a good job highlighting her figure though? That’s not for us to tell. Jim Parson also did not go unnoticed at the Tony Awards as he presented an award in a simple black tux with a playful bow tie.

Two actresses also came a little matchy-matchy on the Tony Awards. Both wearing Zac Posen lime-colored gowns, actresses Bernadette Peters and Annaleigh Ashford could’ve used another fitting with their gowns. But good for Ashford, even though her dress did not carry her all too well, she landed a Best Featured Actress award for her performance in You Can’t Take It With You.
