Robert Joseph Cayald: Police Arrest 5th Family Member In Abortion-Inducing Assault On 14-Year-Old Pregnant Girl

Robert Joseph Cayald (pictured above), 22, is the latest person to be arrested in the shocking assault of a 14-year-old pregnant girl, who was beaten by her family members to induce an abortion.

The unidentified girl was pregnant with Cayald’s baby at the time, and this allegedly prompted Cedric Jones, 27; Sharon Jones, 45; Cecila McDonald, 25; and Lonnell McDonald, 27, to “take matters into their own hands,” a decision that got each of them hit with the felony charge of organized criminal activity.

The Dallas News reports that prior to Cayald’s arrest, the quartet were “being held in the Dallas County jail, with bail set at $150,000 each.”

Child Protective Services currently has the now-16-year-old victim in their care along with six other children, including “the girl’s 15-year-old brother and 14-year-old sister and Cecila McDonald’s four children: a 9-year-old girl, 7-year-old girl, 6-year-old boy and 3-year-old boy,” the news site notes.

The pregnant victim was allegedly brutally beaten by the four suspects for six hours. She was given birth control pills, cinnamon tablets, and Plan B pills to induce abortion. When their plan did not work, the four suspects reportedly bounced on the teen’s stomach and kicked her. The pregnant teen was in pain for a couple of hours before she had a miscarriage in the bathroom.

Robert Joseph Cayald was reportedly 20 when he allegedly raped the then-14-year-old. He is a relative as well, though police did not identify how.

Deputy Chief Gil Garza made a statement regarding the fifth arrest on Sunday and was particularly impressed by the victim.

“We want to commend the victim for her bravery for coming forward to report this unbelievable crime,” he said.

Cayald is being held at the Dallas County Jail on $25,000 bail.

The Inquisitr‘s previous report on this case was met with shock and outrage by many of you.

“My heart aches. That poor girl and that poor innocent baby. I feel sick. How can such evil exist in a person,” wrote Jessica Cutler Saunders.

“Straight up MURDER!” exclaimed Christine Brunner. “8 months pregnant? That baby more than likely would have been born without any serious issues at that point. That’s about full term! Disgusting! They should all get the death penalty for killing a baby and assaulting a child! No need to waste tax dollars on them in jail. You’re supposed to protect your children.”

“No punishment is too severe for the human garbage that were involved in this!” added Ronnie Bement.

Do you think that Robert Joseph Cayald should face as severe of charges as the four accused in beating the 14-year-old and causing the miscarriage? Sound off in the comments section.
