It isn’t difficult to dig out a rumor about Niall Horan or his One Direction buddies, but this week the rumor mill has gone into overdrive over speculation that Horan could be dating former Nickelodeon star Ariana Grande. Earlier this week hunky Niall attended Ariana’s show at London’s O2 Arena and afterwards the two partied the night away at a club in the trendy Soho area.
According to the Daily Mail, Niall and 21-year-old Ariana have been spending a lot of time together this week. Ariana was spotted leaving 21-year-old Niall’s Hertfordshire mansion at 3 a.m. Wednesday morning. Later the same day Niall accompanied Ariana on a shopping trip to Harrods and then later joined her at her hotel. A spokesperson for Grande explained her visit to Niall’s home by saying that “Ariana is friends with Niall. He had a big party that she attended.”
Ariana has fueled speculation of a romance with Horan further still when she told the Mirror that Niall was “super nice” when they spent time together , but she refused to be drawn on whether or not the couple were dating. When asked whether she and Niall were dating, Ariana teased the reporter by saying that some people had even said that she was pregnant with Niall’s twins.
Ariana said, “well, that’s just society. She must be pregnant, she must be expecting twins! But he’s really nice. I’m honestly so tired of talking about dating and my love life and everything.”
“People don’t ask the men. It’s like, ‘Is that the only thing we have to talk about? Is that the only thing women are relevant for is their relationship with men?’ No.”
Both Niall and Ariana have just split from former partners, Ariana from an eight-month romance with Big Sean and Niall from Australian student Melissa Whitelaw. Ariana admits that she and Niall had fun together, saying that “my friend Fredo is really close with Niall and he came to my show in London, I met him there, he was super nice. We then all went over [to Niall’s] for a game night, it was really fun.”
One Direction fans are famed for their obsession with their heroes, and in the past they have been less than accepting when rumors of a new romance emerge. Melissa Whitelaw was subjected to a barrage of hate on social media when she was linked with Niall. It seems that Directioners are more relaxed about a possible romance between Niall Horan and Ariana. One fan summed up the possible relationship as “perfection.”
