One Direction Not Breaking Up: Rumors About 1D Splitting Up Or Taking A Break Aren’t True, Says Band

One Direction has responded to fans who’ve been worried over the rumors of the band splitting up after Zayn Malik left One Direction unceremoniously. Liam Payne was the one who reassured 1D followers at Wembley Stadium about the status of the band, and debunked rumors of One Direction breaking up.

“We don’t know where that came from because we’ve got loads of stuff going on.We have just started the process for recording the new album, we’ve got a whole new tour going on, there are some really good songs so I don’t think we are going anywhere for a while.”

According to the Daily Mail, Payne eschewed the break-up rumors by telling One Direction lovers that the group has been taking their time to rehearse new songs. And 1D wants to get those new songs right, he said.

The space left by Malik’s absence has caused Zayn to be missed, although 1D is having fun filling in and doing Zayn’s high parts in certain songs, like “What Makes You Beautiful,” or “Steal My Girl,” and “Story Of My Life,” among others.

As reported by the Inquisitr, the last few months for One Direction were rocky after Malik left the band, due to what he said was a stress-related concern. The rumors were that One Direction would break up after their “On The Road Again” tour wraps up on Halloween, on October 31.

Meanwhile, the reaction on Twitter to the news that One Direction might not break up at all — even a temporary split after the tour is over — is coming in leaps and bounds.

According to the One Direction website, there are plenty of upcoming dates in the United States that are listed from July 9 to September 12. Therefore, the rumors stating that there will be no 1D music next year have the One Direction publicist refuting break up rumors.

“The story is all pure speculation and not based on any facts.”
