Kim Richards’ Co-Star, Lisa Vanderpump, Discusses Troubled Star Following ‘RHOBH’ Exit
Kim Richards’ co-star, Lisa Vanderpump, spoke out about the troubled actress following her exit from Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Although the network has yet to officially confirm the news regarding Richards, Vanderpump weighed in on Richards’ latest struggles with sobriety during an event in West Hollywood, California.
On June 5, Kim Richards’ co-star, Vanderpump, explained the following to Radar Online.
“A reality show should document your reality. It shouldn’t be the reason you drink and the show should not be what keeps you sober.”
Kim Richards’ co-star has had an on-again, off-again friendship with Richards since they began starring on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills years ago. However, during season 4, when the cast traveled to Paris for a group trip, Richards’ friendship with Vanderpump took a turn for the worse, when Vanderpump asked Richards if she had relapsed after witnessing some strange behavior.
During the following season, season 5, the mother-of-four was once again displaying some questionable behavior to her fellow reality stars, but Kim Richards’ co-star, Vanderpump, stayed quiet.
“I chose to stay out of the whole scenario this season because I was already in that whole situation two years ago when I questioned Kim’s sobriety. I didn’t want to go there again. Most importantly is that Kim gets the help she needs. I wish her well. That is all I want for her and all that the cast wants as well.”
Kim Richards’ co-star, Lisa Rinna, was much more open about her opinion of Richards during season 5, and asked her on a couple of occasions if she was okay. She also suggested the reality star find someone to talk to if she felt she needed to. At the time, Richards denied needing any such help, but now, it appears as though Rinna was on to something.
Vanderpump went on to give some advice for those starring in a reality show.
“If you are going to sign up for a reality show, be completely honest. If not it is going to come back and bite you in the a–!”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kim Richards’ co-star was accused of bashing both her and Brandi Glanville, her close friend, in a recent report, but quickly denied having done any such thing on Twitter. In the tweet, shared on June 5, Vanderpump said she never trashed Richards, or Glanville, and slammed the online publication for writing “crap.”
