Yolanda Foster Update: ‘RHOBH’ Star Shares New Instagram Messages

Yolanda Foster and the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are currently in hiatus, but while other members of the cast are enjoying their free time with shopping extravaganzas and over-the-top vacations, Foster’s time has been spent battling Lyme disease.

In 2012, Yolanda Foster, a reality star, model, mother, and wife of music producer David Foster, was diagnosed with Lyme disease, and ever since, she has been fighting back against the illness in hopes of finding a cure. Sadly, in December of last year, amid filming on the fifth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Yolanda Foster suffered a devastating relapse, which left her unable to read, write, and even watch television. In the months since, Yolanda Foster has traveled the globe, undergoing several different treatments, none of which appear to have gotten her back on track.

On May 29, Yolanda Foster shared the following message on Instagram.

“Hard times are the most raw moments of Reflection…… #SearchingForACure #AffordableForAll #ChronicLymeDiseaseAwareness.”

On May 31, Yolanda Foster returned to social media, posting a photo of her Malibu, California view of a stunning sunset over the Pacific Ocean.

“Our lives are defined by opportunities, even the ones we missed today….. #NoteToSelf #TurnANewLeaf #SunsetBeauty #Grateful.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Yolanda Foster’s husband isn’t thrilled with the idea of her returning to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for Season 6. While she reportedly wants to continue to the show, in order to spread awareness about Lyme disease, he feels, according to a Radar Online source, that the strain of the show isn’t good for her health.

“David has told Yolanda there is just no way she can return to the show because her condition is just getting worse. The Lyme disease is just ravaging her, and traveling for the international medical treatments is taking a toll. Yolanda is extremely weak, and her memory is suffering. David is just being protective because he doesn’t want any of the ladies to use her illness against her, as he knows those women are vicious.”

Yolanda Foster began starring on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills during the Bravo reality show’s third season, and ever since, has been featured on the show in a full-time role. However, during the Season 5 reunion special earlier this year, Yolanda Foster’s Lyme disease got the best of her, and forced her to leave set hours before filming wrapped.
